Bruises usually occur when small blood vessels under the skin are damaged, causing blood to collect beneath the skin. Most bruises disappear within 1–2 weeks.

Treatment

- Use a warm compress after 48 hours.
- Take paracetamol if needed for pain.
If you have frequent or unexplained bruising, consult a doctor to determine the underlying cause.
